Ben is an Investor at Susquehanna, where he co-leads the firm’s climate tech investing practice. Since rejoining Susquehanna in 2019, he has been focused on backing founders building transformative solutions across carbon, energy, and industrial systems.

Ben originally joined Susquehanna in 1993 and spent 13 years at the firm before following his growing interest in early-stage clean technologies. Over the next decade, he held leadership roles across the climate landscape, including as Global Head of Trading and Operations at EcoSecurities (a pioneer in carbon markets), in project development roles spanning wind, solar, and biomass, and as part of the founding team at LO3 Energy, a startup focused on distributed energy and grid-edge innovation.

Ben received a BS in Philosophy and Economics from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA in Finance from Villanova University. Based in the Portland, Oregon area, he spends as much time as possible outdoors—usually hiking uphill, often off-trail, and occasionally pretending it was all part of the plan.
