Matt is an Investor at Susquehanna, where he focuses on early-stage energy technology investments. He brings over 15 years of expertise in renewables, distributed energy resources (DERs), electric grid infrastructure, transportation and the built environment. Matt has worked within early-stage climate tech in roles spanning venture investing, startups and consulting.
Previously, Matt led advisory work at Twyman & Co, working with Seed and Series A founders commercializing new technologies in DERs and grid infrastructure. Prior to that, he led global commercial functions for LO3 Energy, including business development, customer success and corporate strategy. LO3 had commercialized a first-of-its-kind transactive platform for the power and utilities sector to accelerate the adoption of DERs. Matt led investment research and analysis at CREO focused on energy and the built environment. He served as a consultant to Braemar Energy Ventures, leading due diligence on new investment opportunities. During the “Cleantech 1.0” cycle, he was Vice President at McBee Strategic Consulting in Washington, D.C., where he managed a portfolio of energy sector clients spanning startups, multinational energy majors and venture capital firms.
Matt has a B.A. in Environmental Economics from Colgate University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. When he’s not out with the two dogs, he spends his time skiing, fly fishing and on the golf course.
